Welcome to Opera Bar’s Meat & Cheese room- complete with whisky.
The idea is simple – every cheese is matched with one or more whiskies, and vice versa, so it doesn’t matter where you start. Opera Bar has developed a pretty intricate flavour matrix that’s specific to its offering – so there will always be a match that suits your preferences. The staff who work the bar are all booze nerds, so you’ll always have a helping hand if you just want to enjoy a dram.
This space offers personalised service, and a product range a little more interesting than you might usually expect for a large, high volume venue. There is nothing quite like this in a comparable location anywhere in Sydney, not only giving regular customers a chance to try something a bit different – but also giving those discerning patrons a chance to come down to the harbour and enjoy the view whilst experiencing an offering they might usually find in smaller venue.
Opera Bar offers a flight board that rotates different whiskies with their amazingly matched cheeses. Current offering:
- Hakushu DR with Woodside lemon myrtle chevre (Adelaide Hills)
- Nant pinot noir with l’artisan fermier
- Craigellachie 13yo with Riverine Blue
