Opera Bar and House Canteen welcomes walk-in’s only. Please note, we are currently not taking any bookings.
Large groups are welcome to walk in and our friendly team will do their best too accomodate you. We have plenty of spacious areas perfect for bigger parties.
If you have lost something within Sydney Opera House precinct (including Opera Bar and House Canteen), please complete the form on their website and Sydney Opera House will make every effort to locate your lost item.
We can cater for most special dietary requests, such as vegetarian and food allergies, however, some limitations apply. Please view our menu to see our Gluten Free, Dairy Free, Vegetarian and Vegan options.
Our menu contains allergens and is prepared in a kitchen that handles nuts, shellfish, and gluten. Please inform our team if you have any allergies so they can guide you through the dietary options on our menu. While we make every reasonable effort to accommodate guests’ dietary needs, we cannot guarantee that our food will be completely allergen-free.
Yes, we have vegan and vegetarian options on our menu. These will be marked with a (V) or (VEGAN). Some dishes will also be able to be altered to make them vegan. Please ask our friendly staff when placing your order.
Opera Bar does not offer takeaway or delivery, however House Canteen’s menu is available for takeaway.
While we do not provide highchairs in the venue, we do have a few banquette tables which are more suited for younger children.
Opera Bar and House Canteen are both accessible venues, offering ramps, an elevator and accessible toilets on the Lower Concourse.
Most outdoor tables are accessible with plenty of room to move around, but some tables up steps are not accessible.

As much as we love all friendly pooches, we do not allow dogs at Opera Bar or House Canteen.
